Counsel

Matthew Hunter is counsel with Parlatore Law Group and focuses his practice on employment law matters for employees and employers, including (but not limited to) discrimination, harassment, fair pay, family medical leave, and investigations. Additionally, Mr. Hunter focus his practice on strategically supporting the small business needs of entrepreneurs, startups and technology companies in matters ranging from formation and development to contract disputes.

Mr. Hunter joins Parlatore Law Group with extensive experience in health policy issues related to regulatory compliance, healthcare litigation and health care systems’ responses to public health emergencies. His experience advising health centers on compliance with federal, state, and local labor and employment law regulations makes him an asset to our team and to his clients seeking assistance with compliance analysis, negotiations, and settlements. Past legal policy experience includes providing active monitoring and analysis of federal regulations impacting the National Association of Community Health Centers and the approximately 30 million patients they serve.

In addition to employment law matters, Mr. Hunter has experience providing practical legal counsel to business management regarding legal compliance with business laws and contract terms and conditions. This experience is an asset to small business owners and entrepreneurs seeking to establish their small business needs. Many small businesses find challenges in addressing their legal needs when engaging larger business counterparts. Mr. Hunter is adept at providing competent professional assistance with these types of interactions.

When not practicing law, Mr. Hunter… enjoys domestic and international travel, music, sports, cooking, and spending time with family. He is a member of the Bar Association of Montgomery County, J. Franklyn Bourne Bar Association, and Washington Bar Association.

He is licensed to practice in Washington D.C., and Maryland and resides in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
