Mark Collins is Counsel with Parlatore Law Group, where he practices maritime law, criminal defense, civil litigation, and military law. A seasoned attorney and 21-year Navy SEAL, Mark brings a distinctive combination of Naval Special Operations experience and legal acumen to his practice.

Mark focuses on complex maritime matters, including transactions and admiralty litigation involving personal injury, Jones Act claims, and matters arising under the Longshore & Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act. In addition to representing civilians in criminal and civil litigation, he advocates for service members in administrative proceedings and other military law matters.

Before entering the legal profession, Mark served twenty-one years in the United States Navy, retiring as a Chief Petty Officer in Naval Special Operations. Following his military career, he earned both his Juris Doctor and Master of Laws degrees and was admitted to the South Carolina Bar. His practice integrates deep operational insight with advanced legal training, allowing him to guide clients through high-stakes, technically demanding matters.

Mark remains actively involved in the maritime community through his membership in the Maritime Law Association of the United States (MLAUS), the Southeastern Admiralty Law Institute (SEALI), and the Charleston Propeller Club. His combined military background and legal expertise reinforce his disciplined, client-focused approach.

Outside the courtroom, Mark maintains an active fitness regimen, restores classic automobiles, and stays engaged in Charleston’s professional community. He is also a devoted dog owner and values meaningful engagement within the legal and maritime sectors.
