Shani Phillips is Counsel with Parlatore Law Group and focuses her practice on estate law, property law, and business law.

Ms. Phillips’s passion and legal interests include individual privacy rights where she works to provide people with confidential property ownership. She has experience advocating for issues pertaining to veterans’ rights, disability rights, refugee rights. She was recognized for her research on Colorado guardianship laws, where she identified gaps in the laws that negatively impact adults with mild to moderate cognitive impairments, and she drafted model legislation to narrow that gap.

Additionally, she is the founder of a bread company in Colorado, a company she formed and managed all startup aspects, marketing, and operations for.

In addition to her legal and small business focus, Ms. Phillips has proven she is committed to a life of service, bringing a wide breadth of life experiences to her practice of law. She is a veteran of the United States Army Special Operations where she deployed multiple times in support of the Global War on Terror. Additionally, she worked as wildland firefighter in northern California while she pursued her undergraduate degree.

She is an active volunteer in the Down Syndrome Community, and a member of the Colorado Women’s Bar Association, and the Wounded Warrior Project. She is also the proud author of “A Place in the Stars”—a children’s book about facing uncertainty and appreciating the beauty of life.
